Overview
PSC is pleased to bring you the Falcon 615 and 655 vehicle mount wireless computer terminals. These vehicle mount terminals are a part of the Falcon family of products which includes the Falcon 31X and 32X portable data terminals. Like the Falcon portables, both the Falcon 615 and 655 terminals are available with PowerNet TN to provide VT100, VT220, HP700/92, IBM 3270, and IBM 5250 terminal emulations.
The Falcon 615 is a half-screen computer with integrated backlit keyboard. The Falcon 655 is a full screen computer with a detached keyboard. Both terminals support the Proxim RangeLAN2 and Symbol Spectrum24 2.4Ghz spread spectrum radios, with additional radio support to be added later this year.
Applications
The Falcon 615 and 655 terminals are designed for use on any type of vehicle including forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center, or in outdoor environments like shipyards, lumberyards, etc. The extremely rugged design and IP56 rating of the terminals allows them to remain installed in the vehicle even during hose-down operations. The only area we do not recommend their use is in freezer applications due to condensation potential.
