Modularity
Add capabilities whenever you need them. For example, start with a basic data collection terminal. Then when you're ready to go "on-line" install a module with UHF (Ultra High Frequency) or SST (Spread Spectrum Transmission) RF capability.
You can also add a low-profile module for integrated (laser or CCD) scanning. This permits single-handed operation that leaves one hand free for key entry or handling merchandise. If you prefer, use the optional pistol grip scanning handle for intensive scan usage.
Flexibility And Speed
Adjustable, backlit display and dual processors increase productivity. The bit-map graphics display provides a range of font sizes--from 4 lines by 12 characters up to 9 lines by 16 characters. Pick the format that's best for your application. Visibility in low light environments is no problem with the 1100's LCD backlit display. Workers can read it easily, even in complete darkness.
Fast, Easy Implementation
The 1100 system supports 3270, 5250, VT220, 7527 and Native Mode (Async) terminal emulations. These emulations enable communications with networks operating SNA, TCP/IP, DECnet, and Async protocols. This permits "plug and play" integration with your host system and the freedom to work directly with host data from remote areas of your facility. Additionally, standard, off-the-shelf tools let you develop your own applications in Microsoft C. This allows you to test your code right on the PC before you ever load a hand-held terminal.
Peripheral support for RS232 and multi-drop RS485 interface devices permits connection of input and output products like serial printers and RF/ID tag readers. This connectivity provides further expansion capabilities to meet your changing needs.
