Superior Performance and Design
The Intel® XScale® processor provides more than enough power to drive the bright color display, a range of peripherals, repetitive scanning and wireless network traffic. It delivers the level of response time and throughput required for real time, mission-critical applications in warehousing and distribution or retail (store) operations.

The CK31 screen can be read in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions. Its full “quarter VGA” resolution features a touch screen, so the CK31 is able to run both traditional, text-based applications or today’s more graphic interface.

Keyboard Options
Multiple keyboard options provide flexibility for applications that range from shipping and receiving, put-away and picking to cycle counting for the warehouse floor. An optional userinstallable and removable pistol grip handle is ideal for highly repetitive scanning.
Flexbile Scanning

The device offers a new area imager for the greatest scanning flexibility by supporting all significant 1D and 2D symbologies. For usage in hazardous locations, the CK31 is available withnon-incendive (Div 2) cerftification.

Reliable Networking and Security
The CK31’s Wi-Fi® certified 802.11b/g radio, including compatibility with a Cisco infrastructure, insures the best available wireless network throughput and reliability. A convenient communication dock provides wired host connectivity.

Security features of the CK31 support the highest level of protection. The CK31 complies in full with 802.1x standards including the Windows standard EAP-TLS and PEAP, EAP-TTLS and compatibility with many existing networks with LEAP support.

Power Supply
The CK31 includes a high capacity lithium-ion battery for at least a full shift of usage without having to change the battery.

Remote Management
With the addition of Intermec’s SmartSystems™, the CK31 can be used to remotely manage peripherals as well as to remotely and easily manage global deployments.

MCL - NetS24

MCL^™-NetS24 is a Windows NT^®/95 communications server designed to work with Symbol's character-based Spectrum24^® terminals running applications created using MCL^™-Designer. MCL^™-NetS24 gives your network administrator control over a variety of vital activities across your wireless network. It provides your organization with a flexible communications environment to interface with the transaction-driven data collection applications that drive your business.

Using MCL^™-NetS24, your Spectrum24^® devices have the ability to upload or download data packets, files or programs anywhere within the wireless network range. Users can also easily append, copy, rename or delete files on the server from a remote location. In addition, MCL^™-NetS24 provides time and date synchronization of wireless devices as well as a variety of interfaces to host applications through a Dynamic Link Library (DLL), files, pipes or queues. To enhance the management of your wireless network, MCL^™-NetS24 enables your administrator to trace network activity, check wireless terminals and Access Point status on the Ethernet and Spectrum24^® networks, as well as manage both data paths and network devices.

With the ease-of-use built into MCL^™-NetS24, it takes your administrator minimal time to configure, review status, isolate and fix problems on the network.

Simplify NetworkAdministration

MCL^™-NetS24 provides network administrators with a wide range of services for the wireless network, from handling operational data to maintaining the network. Operational data may be easily saved on networked systems or drives by making declarations in MCL^™-NetS24 to set up the paths and destinations of data records and files. For network support and to help keep track of devices on the network, MCL^™-NetS24 enables the administrator to easily construct a Station ID configuration list that includes Access Points, Hosts and wireless devices, as well as assign IP addresses to network devices. Using the master list of all wireless devices connected to the MCL^™-NetS24 communications server, the network administrator can quickly enable or disable any device on the network. What's more, Spectrum24^® activity may be traced for devices identified in the Station ID configuration list and this trace data can be viewed on a screen or written to a file for review.

Run Host Applications

MCL-NetS24 provides a DLL interface to host applications in order to facilitate a client/server relationship between the wireless devices and a host application. In addition to receiving operational terminal transaction data from MCL-NetS24 and sending transaction-related data to a specific terminal via MCL-NetS24, the DLL aids network administration. The DLL enables you to check if MCL-NetS24 is running; it also lets you start or stop MCL-NetS24 on your Windows NT/95 environment.
